It has been only eight months that Xiaomi launched Mi 8 which was its a flagship phone. Now Xiaomi is rolling out a new version of the phone, Xiaomi Mi 9 with newer hardware and software with of course better design. The smartphone market is getting really competitive and Xiaomi is trying to stay ahead in the game with its flagship products. What’s great about Xiaomi smartphone is that they are really affordable for the features that they provide. For just $445 you get Snapdragon 855 processor, 48MP rear camera and 8 GB RAM. That’s really awesome for this price range.
Performance & Battery
The Snapdragon 855 is much more efficient than the 845 that was included in Mi. The device is equipped with two Kryo 485 cores clocked at 2.48 GHz and additional Kryo 485 cores at 2.42 GHz. The Adreno 640 GPU also adds up to the performance. The Xiaomi Mi9 is going to be one of the fastest phones.
The Mi 9 has Game turbo feature that launches automatically when starting a game. This will allow heavy gaming to sustain good performance for a longer period of time.
The Mi 9 also has fast wireless charging option. With 3300 mah battery, you can expect the device to last a whole day.
Design & Display
Xiaomi Mi 9 will have a gradient design at the back and will have several hues kind of like Huawei in the past.
The Mi 9 has 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel display with a layer of Gorilla Glass 6 over it. Xiaomi is also featuring the in-display fingerprint sensor which is quite modern in today’s smartphone/
The feature that will catch the attention of many people is the new triple camera set up at the back with main 48 MP joined by 16 MP wide-angle lens and a 12 MP telephoto shooter. The front camera will boast a 20 MP camera with HDR. We will provide the photo samples once we get hands on the device.
Xiaomi has released few photos and if’s that an indication this device will beat Pixel 3 and Note 9.
The base variant with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM will cost around $445 and the 12 GB ram with 256 GB ROM will cost you around $600 making it a great steal.
