After the bezel-less display, the foldable phone could bring new shape to the mobile industry. It has been the thing of Samsung to push the limit of the technology, consistently. Samsung has been working on the foldable phone concept from the past few months. The demo of Galaxy Fold has been unveiled with the conclusion to be released on the 26th of April at starting price $1980 at the launch of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S10 phones.

GALAXY FOLD FEATURES

Galaxy Fold is inside-out different from what we visualize in the mind, hearing the name folding phone. The phone is unlike any other device we have come across yet. It is the revolutionary composition of handy 4.6” display in the folded state and when unfolded the screen takes the dimension of 7.3” infinity flex display.

The infinity flex display has the resolution of 2152 x 1536 pixels and the 4.6-inch display have 196x 840 pixels. 7nm processor and 12GB LPDDR4x RAM makes it the most powerful smartphone. Additionally, there’s 512GB onboard memory and supports Universal Flash Storage 3.0. Rather than having a folding battery, the phone includes two batteries of 4,275mAh and 4,380mAh on either side of the hinge. The phone is capable of charging wirelessly and has quick charging technology.

The hinge mechanized with multiple interlocking gear system which makes the phone seamless in look and increases the durability. When the phone has unfolded the edges of the hinge itself blend into the display. In a split second your phone turns into a mesmerizing bezel-less tablet. There is Samsung written in classic Samsung font in the folding hinge.

The phone is 17 mm thick when folded, this state is the primary screen mode with the OLED display. Unfolded, the Galaxy Fold is just 6.9mm thick, thinnest than all the Galaxy phone.
The phone will be available in 4 different colours: Cosmos black, Space silver, Martian green and Astro blue. You can have customized hinge colour too if you want.

The phone speaks with the AKG Acoustic speaker and has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The fingerprinted sensor also works as app switcher in the folded states. Galaxy Fold supports never experienced before, the unfolded tablet-like display and it can run up to three apps simultaneously. App continuity allows the continuation of application you have been on in folded screen to unfolded and vice-versa. You can continue the app from where you left in the bigger screen mode without missing a bit of data.

The Galaxy Fold comprises six cameras, triple rear-view camera; 16 MP ultra-wide sensor, 12 MP wide-angle sensor with an adjustable aperture, autofocus and optical image stabilization and the last one is 12 MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom. The dual front-facing in the top right notch is with 10 MP and an 8 MP with RGB depth sensor. One is a 10 MP selfie camera on the cover.
The newest SOC and Galaxy Fold runs on OneUI software likely in recent launch Galaxy S10 series it uses Exynos 9820. The phone supports both LTE and 5G versions.
